What Causes Red Dots On The Arms, Shoulder And Ankles?
my husband is 67 years old and is refurbishing a house. today he came home with little red dots on his arms, shoulders, hands, ankles and tops of his feet. it looks like someone put little dots on him with a red felt tip pen. no pustules and he says it doesn t itch. i don t have any symptoms. thoughts?
He needs to have them evaluated as these can be due to low functioning platelets or decreased platelets counts so fresh, platelets counts as well as clotting profile and platelets function tests may be needed. Any chronic medicine intake should be re-evaluated as well as if fever or any other signs appear should be discussed with your primary care physician. Local or systemic allergic eruption should also be ruled out with a dermatologist review if persists.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
