What Causes Red Itchy Bump On Web Space Of Hand?

Hi I sometimes get a heat bump on the pen supporting finger when I write. Some time ago the bump itched and I scratched it of. The wound has never healed properly, skin never repairing but it is often red and sore. Recently I caught the wound causing it to bleed, now it never dries

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to fungal infection. Bacterial infection can coexist also. In such case i would suggest ointments like panderm plus contains anti bacterial ( ofloxacin and ornidazole, anti fungal (terbinafine) and corticosteroid ( clobetasol) for local application. Keep the dry also. If there is no improvement then oral anti biotics will be needed.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
