Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been getting these small itchy bumps on my face and chest that start out red and then they scab and leave a crater in the center. I have been applying hydrocortisone cream to them and its not helping. If and when I get new bumps, it starts out like a welt and turns into the bumps. This mostly happens around night time. Please Help!!!
A few probable causes of your itchy bumps are allergic skin rash, rosacea, fleabites, contact dermatitis, impetigo, ring worm infection or psoriasis. As you have already tried hydrocortisone cream, I would recommend you to go to a skin specialist for proper clinical evaluation in person. Until then you can use tab. Cetirizine twice daily for relief of itchiness and irritation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
