Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I went to the beach on Christmas and then next day after eating a chicken wing I noticed that I had a red itchy rash on my chest. At first i thought it was from the chicken but then thought it was probably just sunburn. But now, four days later it is still very red and itchy. I have been applying tra tree oil daily. What is wrong with me??? Please help, i have no insurance!
Hello and welcome to HCM, The red itchy rash on chest could be a sun burn since you were out on beach. Please avoid exposure to sun especially the chest region where rash has developed. Apply moist towel to the rash and also apply a soothing emollient cream like aloe vera gel to the rash. If the rash is hurting too much you can take pain killer. You need to maintain good hydration by taking more water. The rash is unlikely to be due to food allergy.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
