What Causes Red Itchy Rashes On Scrotum After Taking Antibiotics?

My partner and I both have type 1 herpes and have been treated with Valacyclovir successfully. We are both now sick with colds and have been taking antibiotics. My partner has developed a red itchy rash on his scrotum and inner thighs, that looks different than herpes 1. I have no symptoms. What could it be? His doctor, over the phone, prescribed an anti-fungal cream. Can men get reactions to antibiotics the way women can contract yeast infections after taking antibiotics?

You could be having allergic reaction. Stop the offending Medicine. Acid sunlight episode. Take Tablet Cetrizine 10mg once. Apply Lactocalalamine lotion. Consult your Dermatologist.
