What Causes Red Itchy Sore Blister In The Mid Back?

I have a itchey, sore, blister like red spot in the upper middle part of my back. It appeared out of nowhere and started to itch then started to grow and become very painful in the last 24 hours. I have never had Chickenpox so I dont think its Shingles... Today my entire torso feels like a trunk has hit me. I feel brused and sore all over. No fever or any other symptoms. What could it be?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red itchy sore blister in the mid back which seems to be due to hair follicle infection by bacteria and as sebaceous glands are abundant there so clogging of skin pores by bacteria, debris and dead decaying substances. It can also occur due to psoriasis , contact dermatitis or skin infection. I would suggest you to maintain cleanliness of area and keep it dry. You should take diet rich in multivitamins and apply betnovate cream 2-3 times a day. You should apply topical antibacterial ointment mupirocin on it. Avoid touching or pricking it. You should apply vitamin E Oil at night as well. Wear loose clothes. Take oral antibiotic course as well. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor may prescribe clindamycin or anti histamine .
