What Causes Red Itchy Spots On The Arms And Feet Despite Using Solarcaine?

This afternoon I have had 4 red spots appear. 2 on each arm. Left arm: 1 spot is the size of a quarter on above the elbow. 1 spot is rectangular about 5 inches from the wrist. Right arm: 1 spot on the forearm the size of a quarter, slightly raised. 1 spot back of elbow, the size of a dime. All 4 spots came up suddenly between 12:00-2:00 CST It happened during a lunch meeting. I did not have anything unusual to eat at lunch. I got chigger bites on my feet last night while dinning outdoors at a restaurant. I put solarcaine on the bites last night when I got home. This morning I put camphophenique on the raised areas on my feet. Only one spot on my left elbow is slightly itchey. YYYY@YYYY

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
