Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have a weird red bump that I d distal to my forarm but no quite on my wrist. It appeared a while after an injury on my wrist. It turns white when applying pressure, and causes very very little pain (more of a slight discomfort) any ideas? Thanks
This red lump on the distal to the fore-arm could be either hemotoma or blister or small boil but it must be examined by the doctor and only after that one can comment exactly what is the lump and what the consistency.
But the likely chances of hematoma since it turns white on applying pressure.
So,the important thing is to diagnose first rather than treatment.
You can go to skin specialist or some local doctor for detailed medical history and clinical examination of the lump to have a clear diagnosis.
Meanwhile, you can apply cold or ice pack compression to reduce the lump size and take over the counter pain killer if there is unbearable pain.
