Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have this little red mark appear on the bridge of my nose here and there only when I take showers for some reason. I don t do anything different in the shower so I don t understand what it is or why it appears. Please try to help me understand what the heck this is. It s an embarrassing mark that I wish wouldn t pop out of nowhere. And I also have a picture of it to maybe give you a better idea. The link sent by you couldn't be visualized, however, I feel the redness could be either due to dilatation of blood vessels during bath or it may be due to some allergen in your soap or bathing liquid(if its appearing after you use them). You can rule out the latter by not using soap or any other product and see if it appears.
If the former is the case then unfortunately you can't do much about it however you can seek a laser treatment for the same with a dermatologist. It may help. Many people have prominent blood vessels in certain parts of their bodies which flare up by heat, shower etc., and it is absolutely normal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
