What Causes Red Marks On The Penis Opening After Having Sex?

Hi, I ve recently part-taken in intercourse with my partner of 9 months and noticed I ve got little red marks on the head of my penis. There is some sensitivity but in a pleasurable way and it s not causing discomfort. My partner has never slept with anyone before me and this is the first time it s happened after we have had sex. I don t know if it is an STI but I was thinking of having a check up just incase. However after reading a lot upon other peoples similar problems none is staying that it is an STI and it just points out that it might be friction of the head against my underwear when I get an erection and no sexual act I d performed. The day before this all happened this friction seemed to happen slot so I think it might be that but I thought I d ask just incase. Thanks

I understand, if red marks on the penis are a new finding, you could be anxious to determine the cause. Related your symptoms I think it is a good news that your partner hasn't never slept with anyone before because this reduces the possibility of having an STI and increases the possibility that red marks being for other reason like friction of the head as you above mentioned. But you should know that some STI can cause red marks . Furthermore, just to be calm and to exclude definitely an STI I suggest to meet an Infectious Diseases Specialist, doing a physical examination, do some tests (for more possible STI related with your symptoms) for syphilis, HSV, HIV and exclude a scabies as well.
