What Causes Red Patch Embedded By Red Spots In The Armpit?
HELLO DOCTOR DUE TO SWEAT A RED PATCH IS ARRIVED IN MY ARMPIT AND SOME RED SPOTS AROUND IT ITS PRICKING AND ITCHING TOO MUCH ALSO PATCH IS PAINING A LOT I HAVE TAKEN AZEE 500 AND ALLEGRA 3 TABS EACH 3 DAY PLEASE SUGGEST A GOOD OINTMENT/POWDER TO CURE THE PATCH AND PREVENT IT FROM GROWING
Hello. You seem to be developing a folliculitis. You did a good job by taking antibiotics but Azithromycin may not specifically help for superficial skin infections. For now, I would suggest keeping the area dry and application of betadine or neomycin powder over it. If it grows or becomes more painful and you start developing fever, you may need another course of antibiotics - a different one this time. If even that fails, you may need to undergo incision and drainage. Hope this helps. Regards, Dr Geeta
