General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

For an insect bite like this, I would recommend using a weak steroid cream such as hydrocortisone, which can help decrease the inflammation and itching. These reactions typically only last a day or two, so this would take care of it, but if it continues to get worse, you may need steroid pills to treat it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
