What Causes Red Rash On Side Of Penis?

I have a red rash on one side of my penis. No bleeding or oozing fluid. But I have had it for two months now. It has not spread, does not itch, but won t go away. The affected area hurts during sexual activity and when soap is applied with any friction while bathing. I am married and am monogamous with my wife. Any idea what this might be?

Hey.

Welcome to HCM.

In my opinion, the rash on one side of your penis can be due to friction or lack of lubrication during sex.

You can apply calamine lotion over the rash, 2-3 times daily, till it disappears.

Also see that you use a good lubricant while having sex.

Do not apply soap to that area directly.

After following all this, if still it remains, then please visit a doctor near you, so that he can examine it and prescribe you accordingly.
