What Causes Red Rashes And Burning Sensation Around The Pelvic Area?
Good Evening!!! I have a red rash at the crease of my pelvic area that only burns to the touch. I do not see any visible Lice or crabs; even with a magnifying glass.. I have had it for a while, months..Not sure when I got it..I have not been sexually active for awhile. Nothing else hurts... I have Diabettes 2 also. What do you think it might be.??? If I do not touch it; It does not bother me.. Thanks
The red rash may be intertrigo which is inflammation that occurs in the body folds.
It can also occur in the armpits and under the breasts.
Moisture, heat and friction make it worse so treatment of these areas helps. This means : (1)wearing cool non restrictive clothing (2)separating the skin folds with cotton or linen material or barrier creams such as petroleum, zinc based creams (3)using powders to help dry the area
Sometimes bacterial and/or fungal infection can occur along with the inflammation and the use of an antibacterial and anti fungal cream would help.
I hope this helps
