What Causes Red Rashes And Swelling At The Corners Of Lips?

Good evening, about 2 weeks ago I developed a rash starting at the corners of my lips with swelling and redness. Lips feel extremely dry and the redness is spreading around my mouth. I don't have any known allergies and this is the 1st time this occurred. Any advise or suggestions are greatly appreciated - thanks!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of red rash, swelling and dryness of lips that is spreading around the mouth can be due to perioral dermatitis and can occur due to reaction with some skin cosmetics, use of fluoride toothpaste, hormonal changes,poor facial hygiene, steroid abuse, nasal steroid inhalations etc..
You should stop using all the facial cosmetics and should apply erythromycin containing ointment and azelic acid creams..
Do cold compresses and apply aloevera gel for lubrication..
In case of no improvement consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to take oral retinoids like Isotretinoin and antibiotics like Erythromycin..
