What Causes Red Rashes On The Ankles With Swelling In The Legs?
I have a lot of swelling in my legs and feet. Swelling is now going up to my knees. I have been doing a lot of walking in the last 3 days and now have a very red raised rash above both ankles going almost all the way around. It is sensitive. What could it be and is it dangerous?
A rash on the ankles can also be caused by an allergic reaction to a variety of allergens (allergic contact dermatitis), such as grass. Other causes of ankle rashes include viral infections, autoimmune disorders, and varicose veins. Infectious causes of an ankle rash An ankle rash may be caused by a variety of infectious diseases including: Bacterial infection, such as from streptococcal and staphylococcal bacteria Chickenpox Fifth disease (mild viral infection in children that can also cause harm to unborn babies) Folliculitis (infection or inflammation of a hair follicle) Measles Ringworm Rocky Mountain spotted fever Viral infections such as roseola. Graphites An excellent remedy for many kinds of rashes, but those with very clear symptoms. This remedy won’t work for different symptoms.
Here is what it treats: rashes that are very moist, scabby and crusty, that ooze out a sticky substance the golden color of honey. It will be extremely itching, and you keep scratching it until it is raw. Your skin may be dry and cracked. The scabby parts are most likely to occur between the fingers, behind the ears, at the bends of any joint (knee, elbow, etc.), and the face. If you have facial symptoms, it could be that the corners of your eyes and mouth are cracked and bleeding a little bit.
