What Causes Red Rashes On The Calves And Nausea?

I am a 52 yr. old woman in pretty good health. I eat a plant based diet only and recently awoke with an excruiating frontal headache. The kind when you bend over it feels like your brain is going to come thru your eyes and was also very nautious and lightheaded. Took a detox bath w/some apple cider vinegar and epsom salt. Felt much better and headache eventually went away. Today I awoke and noticed a few small red circles on the back of my calves and couple right above the calfs on both legs and I am still experiencing some nausea and fatigue. Not sure what this is but I m a Massage Therapist and if Im contagious, I don t want to infect anyone else.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an allergic eruption.

As first-line management, you can take an antihistamine like cetirizine or levocetirizine for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
