What Causes Red Rashes On The Face Of A 38 Year Old Man?
My 38yr old son has a rash all over his face . It is light reddish and does not seem to have any pustules. He also has a few spots on his back. He says it itches a bit and he had a slight fever a few days ago when he first noticed the spots. He has two daughters 2 and 5 who are in sch and daycare but neither is ill. Any thoughts?
As per your query you have symptoms of red rashes on the face which occur due to many reasons like excessive sun exposure and due to allergy a skin infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you use face wash containing salicylic acid and apply kojic acid cream twice a day after washing face. Use sunscreen with SPF 15 while in exposure to the sun to prevent skin from excessive sun damage. Apply aloe vera gel at night. Drink plenty of fluids and water to hydrate yourself. Give cold compresses for itchiness. If condition persists even after a month then consult a dermatologist. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with steroid drugs (oral/topical).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
