Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husbands feet and ankles are splotchy red and tight looking at the end of most days. from about mid calf down. is this just a circulation issue. he drives quite a bit and is in that position for extended periods of time. also his feet have begun to be numb.
Actually, the rash should be observed by the doctor. Although I can ask you some tests:
1. Complete blood count
2. Fasting blood sugar
3. Hemoglobin 4. HoloTC
5. Folate level
6. Platelet count
7. Skin biopsy of the rash
For numbness, physical examination by a neurologist is suggested. All these tests should be done and with the result, you can post another question or you can follow up with me. Do not worry. I am trying to see all the possibilities. There are many treatments available.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta,
General & Family Physician
