What Causes Red Spoltchy Marks On Calf And Foot With Osteomyelitis Of Spine?

I wear bilateral AFO s because radiation therapy from 1994 has left both feet paralyzed...it took about 7-9 years for permanent paralyzation to occur. I just took off my right AFO and all over my calf and top of foot has little red splotchy marks...not raised, not itchy. never happened before. currently I have osteomyelitis of lumbar 3 spine. do you know what it could be?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red spoltchy marks on calf and foot . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like keratosis pilaris , folliculitis , eczema , hives , bug bites , allergic reaction or varicose vein . I would suggest you to keep your leg and feet clean and dry , apply over the counter antifungal cream , take anti histamine like benadryl twice a day and stay hydrated . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin patch test , allergy test and blood tets . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , immunosuppressnats along with antibiotics and anti inflammatory .
