What Causes Red Spot On Calf Of Leg?

My wife has a bright red ( rash ? ) spot about 5 in diameter on the lower calf of her leg. It has been there for a couple months & doesn t appear to be getting worse. She has been trying home remeadies but nothing seems to be working ? Any ideas what it could be ? Thanks, Randy

Hi I did review your concern. Such a bright red spot if it looks like a cherry can be due to benign hemangioma or it could be any other vascular lesion. I would advice you to consult a dermatologist or send me the picture in a direct question so i can better analyse and let you know the opinion and treatment options.
