Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Red Spots Along The Spine Of The Lower Back?
My son has developed 4 red spots along the spine of his lower back. The spacing of the spots seems to be uniform almost like it coincides with the vertebrae spacing. The bottom two look kind of like boils and like they have some puss in them. They are painful when we press on them.
Painful boils with pus is likely to be due to infection. Spacing coinciding with vertebrae spacing may be a coincidence. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
