Hello,
You are having red spots at the back of the throat. Red bumps on the back of the throat are suggestive of inflammation, irritation, or an infection in your upper
respiratory tract. Red spots at the back of the throat are commonly triggered by
sore throat caused by viral infections, coughing, phlegm, or
sinusitis, swollen glands in your neck.
Get clinically examined by an ENT to detect inflamed nostrils, pus, enlarged lymph glands, blocked sinus, swollen glands in your neck, etc. You will be treated with a course of antibiotics like doxycycline -100 mg. Analgesics and antihistamines for relief. Gargle your throat with warm water and salt 2-3 times a day. To get rid of
acid reflux you can take PPIs, Pan-40, one stat when required.
You may be referred to a GP, for clinical examination and evaluation of chronic diseases that need to be treated. You will be treated accordingly. Add fiber to your regular diet, take laxatives, drink fluids and water to avoid
constipation. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
