What Causes Red Spots On Legs With Mild Staph Infection?

Hi, about 30 minutes ago my 9 year old son started getting red spots of different sizes on his legs. They are now on his back as well. They look a bit like chicken pox but he had that when he was 2. They are red (NO pus in center) and rather flat, though a few are slightly raised (like a minor mosquito bite would look) I can't figure out what they are (I've looked at photos of eczema, hives, measles etc and none seem to match) My son is in good health although in the past has had minor staph infection (this looks nothing like that) Any ideas? Thanks!!
