Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good evening, my daughter (14) has red spots on the top of the inside of her mouth towards the back, and yellowish/clear (not white) little blister looking dots on her glands as well as the back of her throat. Her throat is sore and has had a low 98 fever today. I am not overly concerned because she is acting normal, eating fine, but have never seen these type of systems on her. Should I be concerned?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red spots on the back of the throat. Well there can be many reasons for these spots on the back of throat like tonsil stones, strep throat, inadequate hygiene of oral cavity and poor immunity of body, oral herpes and tonsillitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out causes mentioned above. Usually treatment is not necessary, as the tonsils will clean themselves just do warm saline gargles. Avoid intake of oily and spicy food and cold carbonated beverages. You should suck on lemon candy. If condition keeps on persisting visit oral pathologist once as well to find exact cause and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
