What Causes Red Spots On The Mid Back With Loss Of Sensation?

Yes, thank you. I am a massage therapist and have a client I ve been seeing for years who showed up today with a strange pattern of red spots on his mid-back, left side. The image appeared like a series of jacks (I used to play as a kid, with a red nickel sized ball.) He said he had no sensitivity to touch and could not think of why it was there.
