What Causes Red, Swollen And Extremely Sensitive Clitoris In A Toddler?
my 4 year old has been diagnosed in the ER by ultra sound and inflamed kidney with urine reflux as well as a unrinary tract infection...white blood cells and actual blood in her urine. The er did not even look at her private area however. We are home now and have had 2 days worth of Suprax 3.75ML daily along with motrin and Tylenol around the clock as her fevers have been up to 105.... My question is: what would cause a red, swollen and very VERY sensitive clitoris in a 4 year old. She is screaming in agony.... literally begging me to take her back to the er. I applied cortisone (as advised by the er) and she is now sleeping. But I felt her parts when applying the cortisone and they felt not only swollen but hard.....
This can be due to urinary tract infection, so do a urine routine test and microbiological test. Also, de-worming is necessary. Symptomatic relief with analgesics.
