What Causes Red Swollen Painful Pustule At The Corner Of Eye?
i have what i believe to be a HUGE zit at the corner of my right eye (on the side of my nose)! it is extremely swollen and painful as well as light red in color. it is so swollen it is distorting my facial features and hindering my eyesight because the swelling causes the right eye to close half way! should i consider seeing a doctor? emergency room?
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Short answer: Inflammatory swelling, need to consult an opthalmologist.
Detailed answer: Thanks for asking on HCM.
A painful, red swelling at the corner of eye may be due conjuctivitis, blepharitis etc. It is an inflammatory condition which can be treated with medications. No need to worry as it can be cured. Please consult an opthalmologist who will examine your eye and put you on medication.
Hope this helps.
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask.
