Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my daughter has red veins in the corner of her right eye ONLY. We went and saw an eye doctor because her pupil in her right eye is also bigger than the left, they said she can see fine In both eyes and that some people just have a bigger pupil than the other, can you give me any explanation to the veins in her eye? I m worried, should I get a second opinion on her pupil being different as we ll? Thank you for the help!
The veins in her eye could be related to straining physical activity or arterial hypertension. I recommend to closely monitor her blood pressure values, and follow up with the ophthalmologist after a month, in order to check her vision and eye pressure.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
The red veins in the eye corner, could be related to local inflammation or high blood pressure. Have you measured her blood pressure values? What about her eye pressure values?
I recommend checking also her eye pressure and performing a brain MRI just to be sure that nothing is going on (considering the difference in her pupils).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
