What Causes Reddish Brown Raised Area On The Left Breast?

I have a 1.5 inch raised area on my left breast, just above my nipple, that appeared suddenly this morning. It is not red or pink, but more of a brown/birthmark color with pink around the edges. I have never had anything like this appear before. The size of it is what is alarming to me. Should I seed medical attention for this problem?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, you can self examine the breast as long as the swelling is concern, if it is the lump then you have to see the doctor, look without clinical examination, you have not given any detail clinical history, once it is something abnormal seen with breast then it need to be sent for clinical examination it is the rule hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
