What Causes Reddish Bump On Penis Oozing Clear Discharge Post Shaving?
I have a red bump with very little clear discharge if it is squeezed. It came about a week after shaving the area and having sex with my gf. It is at bottom of shaft right by my testicles. I assumed it was a clogged pore or ingrown hair but hasn t come to a head. It looked like a small white head but couldn t tell.
Hello and welcome to HCM, A red painless bump at base of penis could be a vesicle. Vesicle is a fluid filled lesion caused by number of agents. Shaving is unlikely to produce a vesicle. Vesicles occur in viral infections like herpes simplex infection. However, vesicles of herpes simplex are painful and usually rupture to leave raw surface. In grown hair can lead to formation of a bump but it usually causes inflammation and redness. Thus, a clinical assessment is required to note down the characters of the lesion which will aid in diagnosis. Consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.
