What Causes Redness Along With Pain Under The Knee?

Under my knee has hurt for the past week. Now I notice a redness going from 7 above on the inside of my knee to about 2 below it. I tried to take care of the pain by putting arnica gel on it and that did not work so I also tried Muscle rub which did not help. (this pain is on my rt leg on the inside where I can touch both legs together just above the knees)

Hello,

Pain persisting after injury warrants at least an X-ray of the involved knee to look for any bone injury. If that is ok then MRI may be needed to look for tendon or ligament injury.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
