What Causes Redness And Burning Sensation On The Face While On Acne Treatment?
Hi,Dr I,m 19 years old.Now i am suffering many pimples on my face.I went to a doctor last two weeks. She gave me Metrology gel & Retin A 0:025% & oral azifast 500mg.I d like to know how long it will have taken to cure. Now i feel redness;& pain. Is it cause side effects.?
Treatment for acne takes time. Drugs may start working in a week or two, bit may bee to be taken for 3 to 6 months. Generally, redness does not occur with the treatment.
You should apply the gel only to the pimples. If redness is more or increasing then you should inform your doctor and stop the drug as this may be an allergic reaction to the creams.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
