What Causes Redness And Irritation In The Eye?

I got sperm in my eye, flushed it out with warm water immediately, and it s still a bit red and irritated, as expected. I m tired, though, and would like to go to sleep instead of waiting a few hours to see if the swelling has gone down, etc. Is it a bad idea to go to sleep now? Should I wait several hours?

Hello,

It is unlikely that irritation to the eye is going to significantly change in a few hours. There are a lot of possibilities here. STD wouldn't show up this fast.

Plain irritation from rubbing it would, and resting the area helps. Sometimes there are chemicals in spermicides/lubricants/etc but these are not generally seriously toxic.

Spanish fly could be a problem. Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, waiting might be good.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
