What Causes Redness And Itching Sensation In Vulva In Spite Of Taking Plan B?

Hi,I had unprotected sex 2 days ago and took plan b about 4 hours later, just to be safe, even though I am on the pill. I have experienced a real itchy and red vulva, is this from the plan b and will pass? Or is it something else? Also, I was recently tested for a yeast infection and bv and was negative, but had sex after getting the test. Thank you.

Welcome to HCM
I have read and understood your query
Hope it may help
The itchiness and redness you are experiencing is not due to plan B but due to unprotected sex which may have caused infection.as you mentioned you ere diagnosed to have infection before the test.It may not be yeast if the test was negative
For now take care of hygiene, avoid sex.If the itchiness persist and symptoms get worsen get back to us with details
I will be happy to know if it was helpful. You can approach us anytime with another query
