What Causes Redness And Pain In Right Hand?
My granddaughter s right hand turns bright red and is very painful after being in water, whether it s washing dishes or taking a shower. She says it feels like it s on fire. She uses ice packs to try to relieve the pain. Sometimes it is her entire hand, sometimes just her fingers, and sometimes the palm of her hand. Any ideas?

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction, maybe to the soap lotion. I recommend to use an gentle soap lotion. I also recommend to use a mild steroid cream for local application such as Calamine lotion.
