What Causes Redness And Pain On The Arm After Receiving Flu Shot?

I got a flu shot yesterday and I ve noticed that today the area on my arm where it was injected is red, elevated and warm and painful to touch. I ve never had a reaction to any vaccination before, and am not allergic to anything that I know of. Is this concerning?

Hi,

You have such a complaint after a flu shot. So it can be an allergic reaction to shot. You can be prescribed a mild steroid dose or ibuprofen like an anti-inflammatory drug for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
