Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 33 year old daughter has woken with two large areas of redness and bruising either side of her spine lower back. She has dull pain then shooting pain and painful if the area is touched. It is Sunday so do we wait to see doctor tomorrow or do we need to see someone today?
I don't think this is an emergency situation. You can send me a photo to help me through diagnosis. She can use antihistamines such as Benadryl or Cetirizine for itching and rash and also use Advil for pain.
I suppose it may be herpes (a photo is needed) and she can take acyclovir orally. Also, put calamine lotion over it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
General & Family Physician
