What Causes Redness And Pressure To The Eyes On Leaving The Contacts Overnight?

Accidentally left my contacts in overnight three days ago. The morning after took them out immediately and have been wearing my glasses since. At first my eyes were super red, watery, and felt like an eyelash was caught. Now the red has subsided, in one eye and no pain. The other has a tint of red and pressure but no pain. Should I wait another day or is this a sign of an infection I should be worried about? Thanks!

Hi
Still today contact lenses are not recommended for overnight use. Moreover , using contact lenses while sleeping , is of no use.
Sometimes with over use there developes corneal micro abrasions which starts causing eye irritation.
Whenever such thing happens, discontinue lenses for a few days. Start using lubricating eye drops in that interval.
It should be ok soon.
