What Causes Redness And Rashes On Skin After Having Crocin?
my age is 60 years, i am diabetic, taking medicine everyday and keeps under control. if i take some pain relief medicine - like panadol, crocin then within 15 min to 1 hour i get redness and rashes on whole body with heavy itching and followed by stiffness in hands and legs, head gets heavy, with vomiting and toilet sensation. to cure this i am taking Teczine 5 mg. it takes around 20 min to get my redness and burning, itching in control, but leads to Low Blood Pressure (even 70/50). what needs to be done?
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern and I will try to solve it the best way I can. Both Crocin and Panadol are Paracetamol preparations. From the details you have given, it appears that you are allergic to paracetamol and other NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory) group of drugs. In this case, I would advise you not to take paracetamol in any form henceforth. Along with this, you should not take any drug which belong to NSAID group. Here is short list of generic NSAID drugs: Aspine, Ibuprofen, Mafenemic acid, Diclofenac, Nimesulide, indomethacin, etc.
There are alternatives available for patients who are hypersensitive to these drugs like morphin group drugs and You need to choose an alternative for pain relief in consultation with your doctor. I hope this will be helpful. Take care.
