What Causes Redness And Skin Peeling On Penis Of A 6 Year Old?
My 6 year old son has redness and skin pealing from his penis, we have cleaned it really well the past 4 days and it continues, what can we do to help him? He says it hurts when we clean it and seems to be holding his penis when he is playing, etc. Not sure what to do.
Hello dear Understand your concern I think it is either dermatitis or yeast infection. Other causes: Balanitis: due to poor hygiene Friction injury produce reaction Contact dermatitis Psoriasis or thrush
Advice are below: Wear loose pure cotton inner wear Change to a simple, unperfumed soap. Put two handfuls of salt in the bath, but no other additives Do not use biological powders when washing your underpants Showering after a plying , changing underwear, using a clean towel to dry off with and not redressing until the area is completely dry Apply liquid base lotion that contain vitamins and minerals Tablet metrogyl Apply anti fungal clotrimazole plus hydrocortisone cream if severe or not resolved.
Hope this may help you. Best regards Dr. Sagar
