Hello, Some basic principles of our own response to an injury is called inflammatory response which includes- Redness, pain, temperature, swelling and loss of some function. Since its a cut, the first steps of healing process causes release of body fluids which later on helps in clamping and wound healing. Though you have used medications of your own, its always better to get evaluated by a physician.
