What Causes Redness And Swelling In Eyes Along With Fatigue?
My eyes are red, one has a swollen lid and discharged yesterday. I applied a warm towel yesterday twice and it felt better. I experienced body aches previously which I thought was fatigue, then started feeling feverish and thought I was developing a cold but i was not coughing nor sneezing but I could cough out some brown / yellow mucus from the throat. What should i do
Thank you for your query. If you eye is inflamed, painful and has discharge, an infection needs to be ruled out. General body aches and a run down feel could occur before a flu. visit your physician for an eye and general exam. If it is an eye infection, you will need to treat with the appropriate medication applied directly to your eye. If you happen to have the flu, symptomatic relief with antipyretic ( if temperature more than 100F taken orally) rest and good hydration will help you recover. your physician will advice you based on the results of you exam hope this helps wish you good health.feel free to get back to us if you need any clarification
