General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history about surgery for herniated disc, development of redness of feet, popping out of veins and can feel pulse in the feet.
All your history is indicative of one of the following reasons:
Edema of feet and other symptoms as you have mentioned can be due to anemia, hypoproteinemia.
Sympathetic nervous system problem as you have undergone surgery for herniated discs in lumbar region.
Vascular problems like DVT that is deep vein thrombosis.
Varicose veins.
All this can be diagnosed by the following:
Consult your Doctors for proper clinical evaluation, examination and order investigations as per the clinical diagnosis in the form of the following:
Color doppler of the lower limbs for arterial and venous system.
Tests for sympathetic nervous system.
MRI of the lumbar spine area.
Tests of blood.
All these will help you to get a proper diagnosis and thus management too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
