What Causes Redness In The Eyes And Bump On The Lips After Smoking?

Hey a few times recently after or during smoking a joint or a spliff, I've gotten a bump on my lip like a mosquito bite almost or an allergic reaction. And often my eyes get not only red but itchy and a little swollen. Could I have, after at least 5 years of smoking recreationally and for medical purposes, become allergic to smoking pot?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. It could be cannabis allergy [pot allergy] which causes itchy eyes, sneezing, swollen eyes and sometimes even anaphylactic shock but check with your physician [infectious disease specialist] to exclude lyme disease.

PS. yes many people have reported that after years of contact with no problem they started developing rashes, breathlessness and asthma like symptoms.

2. consider seeking an appointment with skin specialist [allergic] who might check for the allergic reaction for THC [active ingredient in same]
