Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor'. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If your daughter developed fever first and her eyes are red only over the whites of her eyeballs, with no swelling nor redness of her eyelids,
and no drainage, then perhaps she is developing
Kawasaki syndrome.
Other features that are part of this syndrome include:
-red rash over the body
-a strawberry tongue
-redness of the lips followed by cracking and bleeding of lips
-an enlarged gland in the neck
-swelling of hands and feet
Your daughter needs to be seen by her
pediatrician as soon as possible because Kawasaki's can involve the heart.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wish I could ask you questions about your child's history.
Frequently, if one family member has
migraine headaches, then another family member does also. Usually there is not red eyes with migraine. Some people with migraines have a funny feeling or pain just before their headache begins; others do not. Characteristic of a migraine's pain is that it has a pounding quality. It may be associated with nausea, vomiting,
abdominal pain, and vision changes such as seeing spots, blinking lights. Often persons with this type of headache have
photophobia and
phonophobia and get relief when lying down and sleeping.
Remember that I am unable to ask for more history nor can I perform a physical exam. My advice is just possibilities. There are other conditions that cause fever as well as other conditions that cause headache.
I insist you take your child to her pediatrician AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help.
