Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is likely that she has scratched her eye and caused a blood vessel to burst. It is self limiting and takes about a week or two to disappear. Observe the eye for a week and consult an ophthalmologist if it shows no signs of improvement.

Regards

Ophthalmologist Dr. Dadapeer K's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that your baby is having red eyes. Since pain, watering and other symptoms suggestive of inflammation are absent, this seems like subconjunctival hemorrhage. This will resolve on its own by 1-2 weeks.
However this needs confirmation of diagnosis by examination by a ophthalmologist.
If possible do send a photo of the affected eye so that I can confirm the diagnosis.

Thank you
