Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed my throat is red and veiny in the back and maybe what looks like bumps , I also noticed I have stones forming on the sides . What could be causing my throat redness ? We have a moldy light in the house and I suspect it s also in the air ducts if that has anything to do with it . Every morning my nose is dry and raw and my throat slightly raw and Phlegmy . I don t think I m sick however , it s only at its word in the morning when the AC is on overnight.
The symptoms you explain can be due to dry air that irritates the throat and the nose. It is not recommended to use AC all night, on the other hand keeping your air moisture at night might help you feel better. Another possible cause of your symptoms is allergic reactions, in this case taking some Loratadine might help as well. Make sure you drink plenty of water and use lozenges to keep your throat moist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
