Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
after I masturbate the base of my penis is red and irritated. Also there is a couple red spots on the head of my penis. I have used neosporion and anti fungal creams to treat it but only seems a temporary solution since the redness comes back about a week later. Any idea what this could be? Thank you for your time
Hello and welcome to HCM, Redness of skin over penis could be due to mechanical irritation of the skin. Development of red spots on penis need to be clinical assessed. Since, the red lesions are not responding to neosporin or anti-fungal ointment the lesion is unlikely to be due to fungal infection or bacterial infection. The red colored rash appears to be due to primary skin lesion. There are many skin diseases which cause redness of overlying skin. I suggest you to consult a skin specialist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations for making a diagnosis and thus treatment.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
