What Causes Redness On The Surgical Scar Along With Nausea?

Have an old scar, from quadricep muscle being rebuilt, noticed this Am. that on the suture, it has become red, this a 10+yr. old scar, also have been feeling nauseas past couple days, do not know if related, No fever,& the scar is not hot or inflamed, although areas feel tighter..??

If there is no increased warmth, tenderness or pain then infection is less likely though the increased redness can also be an indicator of infection.

Even if an infection is present because there are no severe local symptoms, it is not likely that it is responsible for your nausea.

Nausea can be due to reflux, food intolerance, infection, side effect of medication , there are also other causes.
If it continues then you may need to be seen unless the cause is obvious (eg there is a history of reflux)
